Our Roots
Founded in 2022, Chumma Dance began when two friends set out to make diverse dance styles more accessible to the community. Rooted in South Asian culture, our classes and events celebrate the music, languages, and movement of the subcontinent — featuring songs and genres from across the region.
Our Vision: A confident, connected community where every dancer feels supported and empowered to express themselves.
Our Mission: To create an inclusive, welcoming space for dancers of all levels to explore various dance styles, develop skills, and share their art through sessions and community events.

Aruun closes out April with something soulful. KS Harisankar's rendition of Pookal Pookum is a Tamil classic that asks you to really feel what you're dancing and this choreo delivers exactly that. Grounded, expressive, the kind of session that stays with you.
